You are receiving this email because an individual within your organization updated the email address associated with your ACGME Cloud account on your behalf.
To help protect your account, email address changes are not completed automatically. Instead, the new email address is placed in a pending status until you review and confirm the change.
This notification is sent to both:
- Your previous email address on file, and
- The newly submitted email address
Why Do I Need To Take Action?
It is important to complete this process because your updated email address may be used for:
- Required surveys
- Organization communications
- Account notifications
- Security verification
- Future sign-in and authentication activities
If the pending email change is not confirmed, important communications may continue going to the previous email address.
How Do I Accept or Reject the Change?
- Sign in to ADS.
- Use your previous (old) email address exactly as it was previously associated with your account, even if you no longer have access to that mailbox.
- Enter your password.
- After signing in, you will be prompted to:
- Accept the email address change, or
- Reject the email address change
If You Accept the Change
You will be asked to request a verification code sent to the new email address. Entering the verification code completes the update process.
If You Reject the Change
Your email address will remain unchanged in the system.
Why Must I Sign In Using My Old Email Address?
Until the email change is confirmed, your previous email address remains the active sign-in identifier for your account. This security measure helps prevent unauthorized account changes.
What If I Did Not Expect This Change?
If you do not recognize this request, believe it was made in error, or suspect unauthorized activity on your account:
- Immediately reset your password
- Contact the Support team for assistance
I’m Having Trouble Completing the Process
Common issues include:
- Attempting to sign in with the new email address before the change is confirmed
- Not remembering the password associated with the account
- Not having access to the previous email address on file
- Not receiving the verification code at the new email address
