What Is Analytics Explorer?

Analytics Explorer is one of the many powerful tools within ACGME Cloud | Analytics. This product is an intuitive, self‑service reporting tool that lets authorized users customize and explore data their way.

What Are the Key Benefits?

Users can customize visuals and dashboards to match their workflow and decision‑making needs.
Saved dashboards create a reusable library, reducing repeated manual work.
It provides faster access to insights through personalized views and self‑service exploration.

What's New?

Phase 1 of Analytics Explorer includes data from the ACGME annual Resident/Fellow and Faculty Surveys. Phase 2 went live on Monday, April 13. This phase includes enhancements that will allow users to better manage saved dashboards, and new options to delete, rename, update, and organize dashboards into projects. The planned release for Phase 3 is in the first half of 2027, with additional data domains being planned.

How Does Analytics Explorer Work?

Analytics Explorer is easy to access and use:

Log into ACGME Cloud (https://acgmecloud.org/).
Select Analytics.
Select the Analytics Explorer (Explore & Customize Data) tile.

Data Domain	Capability	Primary audiences
Surveys (available now)	Includes aggregated program, specialty, and national survey dashboards with comparisons, featuring Resident/Fellow and Faculty Survey data from the current year and the previous five years. Sponsoring Institutions (planned for 2027)	Current and historical data on accreditation status, citations, areas for improvement (AFIs), and other Sponsoring Institution characteristics.
Faculty Characteristics (planned for 2027)	Faculty-level and aggregate trends on demographics, attrition and certification.
Program Data (planned for 2027)	Current and historical program data, including accreditation status, citations, AFIs, and other program characteristics.
Participating Sites (planned for 2027)	Participating site characteristics, such as ownership/control type, site type, geographic location, and program activity.
Clinical Experience/Case Logs (planned for 2027)	Graduate and active resident/fellow Case Log data, including counts, recent activity, and minimums.
Program Milestones (planned for 2027)	Individual and program-level Milestones data with specialty comparisons and trends to assess competency development.
Resident Characteristics (planned for 2027)	Resident/fellow-level and aggregate trends of demographics, attrition, and scholarly activity.
