The ACGME is pleased to share improvements to the sign-on process, designed to make access to ACGME Cloud applications and the Accreditation Data System (ADS) more seamless and secure.
What’s New
- Less frequent authentication to keep you productive: As of October 2025, multi-factor authentication will only be required every 14 days on the same device. If you switch devices in less than 14 days, multi-factor authentication will be required. Before this change, users were required to authenticate every 12 hours.
- Control your authentication method: In ADS, a “Change MFA Method” link has been added to the top right-hand corner of the person profile. Clicking this link will open a pop-up window directing the user to their ACGME Cloud profile, where they can reset their preferred multi-factor authentication (MFA) method.
- Additional multi-factor authentication methods: Offering more flexible and secure options for user verification, via text and an authenticator app, in addition to email.
- ‘Keep me signed in’ enhancements for mobile devices: make it easier for users to stay signed in for a longer duration of up to 30 days on mobile devices.
