If you receive a message that the email address you're entering is already in use, there is already a record in our systems for this email address. In most cases, cancel out of the current process and search for the person or email address that you're entering and select the record that is already in the system.
If you are trying to edit an email address and receive this message, the person may have duplicate records or you may be entering the wrong email address for the person you are editing.
